Hodgepodge Poetry Workshop | Alex Creece

Perth Poetry Festival 2026 · Ear to the Ground
Cut language apart. Rearrange it. Let the poem arrive somewhere you did not expect.
Alex Creece leads a hands-on collage poetry workshop using found materials such as magazines, advertisements and pamphlets. Drawing on their practice as both writer and visual artist, Alex guides participants through making collage poems and exploring how this playful form can demystify poetry and open new ways of engaging with language.
Facilitator
Alex Creece is a writer and visual artist whose practice moves across poetry, experimentation and image-making, with a playful approach to language, form and what becomes possible beyond the conventional page.
